Dear Hazlehurst High School Seniors and Senior Parents,

Due to the impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) requiring extended school closures, the Mississippi State Board of Education has waived end-of-course assessments as a graduation requirement; however, current seniors are required to earn a minimum of 24 Carnegie units to graduate. Students should complete all assignments through Google Classroom and/or Edgenuity and earn a passing grade to ensure meeting the Carnegie unit requirements for graduation.  

Since the start of the 2019-2020 school year, the deadline for completing online courses in Edgenuity has been May 8, 2020. The deadline is still in effect; however, students are encouraged to complete Edgenuity coursework by April 15.  If any student is having difficulty accessing technological resources (computer, WiFi), please email Dr. Erica M. Towers immediately at etowers@hazlehurst.k12.ms.us who will assist with providing you the needed resources.
